*TCM thoughts:
-companion organ is the BLADDER -EARS are the sensory organs related to the kidneys (think tinnitus, deafness, ear infections) -BONE is the tissue associated with the kidneys (think osteoporosis, dental issues, developmental issues) -SALT is the taste connected to kidneys (eat a salty snack) -FEAR is the emotion attached (think anxiety, fear, panic attacks) TCM foods to support kidneys: -seafood -beans -bone soup TCM physical support: -Acupuncture -Stomp your feet, slowly and with flat feet, for about 5 minutes a day. This stimulates your Kidney’s energy as the feet are associated with the Kidney and Bladder meridians, which run through the heel to the sole of the foot. -Rub your ears for several minutes a day. This simple massage strengthens Kidney function, as the ears are connected energetically to the Kidney organ and meridian. -Stop energy drains! Conserve your energy by sleeping before midnight, resting when you’re tired, and giving yourself permission to take a break and de-stress. -Acupressure - Rub the acupressure point called “Yongquan” or “Gushing Spring” (Kidney 1) which stimulates a key point on the Kidney channel. It may be sore, but this means you’re hitting the right spot to stimulate your body’s energy foundation and relieve symptoms such as night sweats, hot flashes, tinnitus, hypertension, insomnia, anxiety, and headaches. The yongquan is located at the exact center of the bottom of each foot. Starting with your left foot, massage this point as deeply as comfortable using your thumb or even a tennis ball—anything firm you have on hand. *TCM information source Ladies, imagine going for four years without having regular periods. What if you had maybe 3 periods a year... Is that healthy? No. Is that how our bodies were designed to function? No. So, do you think you would be a bit worried? I certainly would be.
Well, that was reality for a dear friend of mine. She had existed with drastically irregular periods to the point fear started to creep in and steal some joy. It's hard not to think the worst when your body isn't functioning the way you know it's supposed to. She shared this with me and I immediately knew what to suggest. But those two products are POWERFUL for hormonal balance in general and special attention is given to the female system via the herbal complex. Of course, the opposite it also true- when we have the right perspective our thoughts, actions, and emotions will propel us forward.
